Monday, May 12th, 2008 – Support is in! (And More)
Can you believe in love? Lost in this world
Can you believe in love? And it’s not too late
End of days, and there's a full moon rising
End of days, and there's a full moon rising, again...
--Fozzy—End of Days—Fozzy--
Why did I pick a Fozzy song to start off this blog? First off, why not? I’m a huge Fozzy fanatic, I’m not afraid to admit that. The reason why I started off the blog is due in part that about ten or so days ago, I was $1100 short of my support goal of $3100, and as of now, I have raised $3580! That’s $1580 in ten days! That’s half of what I had to raise. I almost rose in two weeks what it took me two and a half months to rise. God is simply amazing. And in ten days, God helped me raise a little more than half of support then I needed. I’m gonna do some prayer requests early, but sooner the better, right?
Prayer requests:
-Full support to come in for rest of the Ghanan team within the next week.
-God to use us and work through us this summer in Ghana, as well as back home after we get back.
-Learn how to forgive and to love everyone, no matter what they have done in their lives.
-Keeping close to God this summer and growing more deep in love with Him.
-Growing close to people in our lives who are distant and able to forgive them for whatever happened in the past and learn to love them.
-People who are going on a summer project this summer to be able to take something out of it and use it in their lives when they get back
This summer is going to be a lot of fun. Keep praying for not just the Ghana Summer Project dudes and dudettes, but for everyone who is going to go on a summer project, here in the States and Overseas. Also pray for their families. Pray for them to give them assurance that their kids will come home safe and they are in God’s hands and God will keep them safe. Also pray for love, like in the Fozzy song, for it won’t be too late to love one another.
I’ll try to get around putting up some blogs this summer, if not, I will do that right away after Ghana. So I’ll keep you guys informed.
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
-1 Corinthians 13:4-8-
