Saturday, December 13th, 2008--Rest of the First Half

Hey everyone, sorry for the super long delay, I misplaced my notebook two months ago. Things are slowing down for me to start re-typing my journal entries from Ghana. Here's what I have so far from the last posting, so the rest of the first half of the trip.

Monday, May 26th, 2008—Day 8

Today was a good day. Showed the movie “Love, Sex, and Lasting Relationships.” George, who Nate and I talked to last week, asked me if I had a sister because he wanted to marry her. Then he asked if I had any female cousins, due in part of me not having any sisiters, and I said “Yeah.” He wanted their e-mail addresses for he can talk to them to marry them, Now that’s weird. Blake talked to Bright at the movie and he said he’s 75 percent sure he’ll go to heaven if he died today. Nate and I talked to him about that and same with his roomie, Evans. Evans was at 75 percent, too, for salvation. After answering questions and reading some scripture, and help them come to full assurance for salvation. Then had French fries and ketchup tonight for supper. That was amazing. Eating the fries and eating ketchup was great. Went to the Internet Café afterwards. It was nice to check facebook and e-mail. I e-mailed Ma to let her know I’m still alive and don’t know when the next time I’ll contact her next. Hopefully within the next week. Facebook Gotta back. Wrote on Ryan’s wall, telling him I’m still alive. It was nice to write to Ryan. Then wrote on Hollywood’s (Tyler Helfers) wall, he watched old wrestling shows. I got a good laugh. World’s title still vacant and Triple H is still the WWE Champ. I’m gonna get off to shower and go to bed. Goodnight.

Tuesday, May27th, 2008—Day 9

Today’s the four year anniversary of Grandpa’s death. It doesn’t seem that long. It seems like a lot longer than four years has gone by. A lot of changes has taken place. Man, just thinking of the past year, a lot has changed. The last four brought Vikki and Phil buying Grandpa’s and Grandma’s house, Mom, Nate, and I moving there and still are living there now, as well as Dave’s and Cindy’s marriage going down. Then I graduated high school and finished my second year of college. Gaining two very close friends who I really love, and am currently in Ghana. That’s just a super quick rap-up. Also, Ric Flair retired from professional wrestling.
Today was Kuma’s birthday. Nate found out his Great Aunt died sometime this past week today. Nate and I visited with Bright and Evans today and they prayed to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Blake and I bought bread from the market today. The bread is great. Wonder how Ma and her sisters are doing, as well as Dave, Nate, and Dezi. I’m sure they’re okay, as well as the other international and stateside summer projects. Meeting up with John at 3:30 tomorrow. I’m sure everything will be good and be fine. Way too late due to meeting. Goodnight.

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008—Day 10

Oh man, dig it! Anyways, today was a good day. Slept into 6:45 this morning. That was nice. We had a birthday party for Kuma last night. We had a hour of worship at 9, then went to the Internet Café with some people. Checked facebook. More people wrote on my wall the past two days then they did last week. How sad, but okay. I think only one or two more, I’m sure two more, people wrote on my wall then last week. Then went back to campus. I felt kind of useless due to the fact Eddie went over the “Filled with the Holy Spirit” booklet and Nate went over the “Four Laws.” But it was okay, though. Gives me motivation for tomorrow and in the future. It’s not really talking to anyone, as well as when I was with Eddie, I was zoning out, and I feel bad for that. Live and learn, I guess. Sounds like we’re going into the market tomorrow and then showing the Jesus Film. That should be a lot of fun. I’m really looking forward to going into the rural villages tomorrow. That should be a great experience. It’s raining pretty hard now. It’s cool with the breeze behind me, with my back getting a little bit wet. Now I know why I was getting wet, the ceiling’s leaking! But, I really don’t know what else to say. We had a group game night… That was fun. Telephone pictionary. LIGHTS OUT! Now they’re back on. That was fun hearing all the girls scream when they went out. Blake said, “This is how every horror movie starts out.” I then heard someone, I don’t remember who, said, “It’s the Night at the Jangels.” It might have been Blake who said it. But I’m off to bed now. Goodnight, and stay classy.
